The Cypress Times is running two reports on this controversy, one from Columnist Gary P. which is garnering a great deal of negative feedback from the left:  Barack Obama Wants Your Children And Is Coming For Them On September 8, 2009

The writer compares shows that Obama's move to talk to your kids without you is right out of the Communist handbook - separate children from God, separate them from their parents.  He also compares the Obama Youth to Hitler's Youth of the 1930's and to Stalin's Young Pioneers.  It's tough reading even for some Conservatives.

Points out that Ronald Reagan, and George H.W. Bush also did speeches targeting school kids, but notes that the context and circumstances were very different, and draws the ulitmate conclusion that if politicians believe their own children to be "off limits" they should respect the same idea when it comes to our children.
