Obama: Cautious or Cowardly

North Korea Planning To Nuke Hawaii!  Will Wipe U.S. Off The Map!

The story first appeared in Japanese newspaper, Yomiuri Shimbun, quoting sources from Japan’s Defense Ministry saying that North Korea is planning to nuke Hawaii on July 4, as American’s celebrate independence day and our state department officials chow down on BBQ with diplomats from Iran, whose government is killing freedom fighters mercilessly in the streets. The current administration’s handling of foreign affairs now begs the question:   Is Obama cautious or cowardly?

First Iran.  In the past few weeks Iranians have taken to the streets to protest an illegal rigged election. World leaders have stood up to denounce the violence and to offer support for those freedom fighters.  All except one, or "The One".

Obama called the Iranian protests “a robust debate” until yesterday when, after being prodded by Republicans, he finally condemned the actions of the Iranian government and warned of “consequences” if the actions continued. When pressed by reporters, Obama either could not, or would not, define in any way the term “consequences”.  Cautious or cowardly?

Back to the islands.  Now there are reports that Obama has beefed up the “Missile Defense System” over Hawaii in response to the reported nuclear threat.  This is the same Missile Defense System that Obama has promised to scrap, and for which he has already cut the budget for further development.

Opponents of the Missile Defense System say it doesn’t work and is unnecessary.  So why deploy it now?  Will it be Aloha, Hawaii or Mahalo President Reagan for pushing for the Missile Defense System back in the 80’s?

To the high seas.  What of the mysterious North Korean ship, Kang Nam?  The ship is now in the Taiwan Straits and is reportedly on course for Myanmar.  The ship has been tailed for days by the U.S.S. John McCain.  Now the McCain has been ordered back to port and the U.S.S. McCampbell is tailing the Kang Nam, but to what end?

The ship is suspected of carrying arms or weapons, yet under current U.N. sanctions – and this is rich – the ship can only be boarded and inspected with the permission of the country whose flag is flying on the ship: North Korea.  Huh?  That is the U.N. at its finest.

Amidst reports of possible nuclear attack on Hawaii, and another report saying that North Korea’s Chemical Warfare capabilities could be more dangerous than their nuclear capabilities, wouldn’t it seem reasonable to actually find out what the Kang Nam is carrying?  So why hasn’t a U.S. warship stopped the Kang Nam and boarded it?

North Korea warned that stopping the ship would be considered an act of war.  Today, North Korea said it will “wipe the U.S. off the map”.  Is the President therefore holding off because of the threat?

Mr. Obama is now famous for having taught us all that "words matter".  How about words like, "Wipe the U.S. off the map"?  Do those words matter? Mr. President, silence speaks volumes.  Cautious or cowardly?

As the world waits and watches to see if we are on the brink of nuclear war, what is on the president's schedule?  Mr. Obama will spend his time tonight touting his unnecessary socialized healthcare plan in prime time on ABC.

Nero fiddled while Rome burned.  Will Obama smile for the camera and read his teleprompter as Hawaii burns?  We may not know for certain until the skies over Hawaii light up with something more than fireworks come July 4.

Cautious or Cowardly, you decide.
